Grindl Kuchirka heeft “Dancing Clown-sessies” ontworpen met als doel meer diepgang in je acteerwerk te verkrijgen en meer gevoel in je beweging en dans. Er bestaat een natuurlijke expressieve relatie tussen clowning en dans & beweging. De workshop is o.a. geschikt voor clowns, dansers, acteurs, theatermakers en muzikanten.
* Deelname alleen geschikt voor mensen met aantoonbare ervaring en/of opleiding in clowning en/of dans en/of theater, bij Buus of elders. In dat laatste geval dien je contact met Ruut van Hooft op te nemen.
Grindl Kuchirka is een unieke Canadese artiest die de toewijding en de discipline van de danser en de luchtige spontaniteit van de clown combineert. Ze heeft veel ervaring als professioneel danser en clown en heeft veelvuldig opgetreden in Noord-Amerika, Europa and Azië. www.grindl.ca
‘Grindl Kuchirka's "Dancing Clown" sessions are designed to bring more depth to your acting and more soul to your dancing by experiencing the creative movement and dance of the clown. In fact there has been a natural cross fertilization between these two art forms since the first cave man tripped and fell while dancing the great hunt story around the tribe's evening fire.
Experience the essence of clown, and the simplicity of expressing comedy through movement. Discover how movement can amplify humor, and what lies behind that illusive quality called timing. Explore classical, modern and free dance, choreography, improvisation, and pedestrian movement. Focus on anatomy and learn where the impulse of movement originates.
This workshop is available for clowns, dancers, actors, directors, musicians and movement artists. Dance experience is not necessary. "By playing with the archetypal roles of the clown throughout history-- from romantic poetry to modern tragedy-- we will re-create the many dances of the clown, from deep profound sadness to sparkling, uninhibited hilarity-- and have a lot of fun!"
Grindl Kuchirka is a unique Canadian artist who combines the dedication and discipline of the dancer and the whimsical spontaneity of the clown. With extensive training in dance and movement as well as 28 years of experience as a professional clown, Grindl has performed in North America, Europe and Asia. She has created, developed and conducted her signature "Dancing Clown Workshop" as well as choreographed for Dance, Theatre and Television in Canada, France and Holland. She has led numerous workshops in dance and clown for people of all ages. Her artistic endeavors have been generously supported by The Ontario Arts Council, Laidlaw Foundation and The Canada Council for The Arts.
